Armstrong BC, Canada is a North Okanagan city with wonderful country appeal. Located 23 kilometres north of Vernon BC and 33 kilometres south of Salmon Arm BC, the City of Armstrong is completely surrounded by the District of Spallumcheen BC which consists mainly of agricultural land and farms. Armstrong BC was incorporated in 1913, and the Armstrong Fair has been running annually for over 100 years. Downtown Armstrong BC is a charming heritage style, with shops, cafes and galleries and a Post Office. read more... link to us.

The climate in Armstrong BC is typical of the North Okanagan and has dry hot summers, and moderate winters with snow. Armstrong's geography is that of rolling hills covered with pines. Because the City of Armstrong BC only has a land area of 5.24 square kilometres, the surrounding community of Spallumcheen BC is often referenced casually as Armstrong too. Spallumcheen BC has over 250 square kilometres of land which is mostly agricultural and plays a large part in the annual Interior Provincial Exhibition, the IPE, which is hosted by the City of Armstrong BC on its dedicated IPE Fairgrounds.
The IPE, or Interior Provincial Exhibition goes hand-in-hand with the Armstrong Fair. Exhibits include agricultural displays of livestock, produce, animal shows and rodeos, a traveling Mexican Circus, arts and crafts, and the Midway entertainment with rides and games. Many local clubs participate at the IPE. 4H members bring the animals they have raised during the year and gain experience by transporting and showing their animals. Additionally they provide information about animal care to the fair visitors and inspire others to also participate.
Armstrong BC Real Estate offers housing similar to Vernon BC, with shopping and schools close by in the city. New neighbourhoods with townhomes, and executive homes have sprung up during the housing boom after 2000.
Many older Armstrong homes have large lots between 1/4 and one acre. On the edges of Armstrong, for example the Sleepy Hollow Road area, there are some interesting knolls and rolling hills with picture perfect acreages.
