Coldstream's Okanagan College Campus: The campus recently returned to college status, after serving the area as a University College from 2001 to 2005. Taking over degree programs is the University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus which opened in 2005 in Lake Country / Kelowna.

Middleton Mountain in Coldstream and Vernon has views in every direction and the building continues! Construction of new executive houses which show off lake views and valley views continues through 2009 and 2010. Mt. Ida Drive is a great example with south-facing Kalamalka lake views being coveted and admired. Coldstream BC's agricultural roots continue with many active tree fruit orchards and farm land. Particularly the Lavington BC side of the Coldstream Valley towards Lumby possesses flatter high quality soils. The Coldstream Ranch still raises cattle as it has done for a hundred years.
