Kalamalka Lake in the North Okanagan BC is bordered by Coldstream BC and also Lake Country in the Central Okanagan. It is a fairly lake which accommodates hundreds of lakeshore homes and cabins in Coldstream and Oyama.   Provincial Parks and Ecological Reserves surrounding Kalamalka Lake are numerous because this area is recognized as a unique habitat for many wildlife species. Kekuli Bay Provincial Park is on the west side of the lake and supports tourism with a 70 site camping area including sites for recreational vehicles and boaters. Kalamalka Provincial Park does not allow camping, but has a daytime parking lot allowing locals and vacationers to access trails and beaches throughout the park. Famous beaches include Cosens Bay and Marmot Beach. The Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park and Protected Zone are on the north side at Coldstream and the east side. Cougar Canyon Ecological Reserve is located behind Kal Provincial Park further east.
