Lumby BC has a total land area of 5.27 square kilometres in the North Okanagan regional District. Nearby attractions include the City of Vernon, Kalamalka Lake, the south shores of Mabel Lake, and Cherryville BC in the Monashee Mountains.
Downtown Lumby provides a large supermarket, post office, RCMP detachment and Charles Bloom Elementary School.
In addition to Lumby Days Festival where families gather to celebrate the local culture, Lumby BC has many public murals painted by local artists.
