Swan Lake in the North Okanagan BC is bordered by Vernon and Spallumcheen. It is a smaller placid lake, and offers a simple boating and fishing experience. Used by boating teams for practice because the wave action is stable and predictable, the North Okanagan's Swan Lake is perfect for less-experienced boaters to develop basic skills. During cold winters one might see cars on the lake but this activity is never recommended. Ice skating and walking are quite safe usually and enthusiasts should check with local authorities and weather service before entering onto any frozen body of water.

From Stepping Stones, Foothills and BX neighbourhood Swan Lake creates a beautiful lakeview for many property owners in the North Okanagan and is just one more great reason to enjoy the area. The Old Kamloops Road which winds along the lake travels to O'Keefe Ranch one kilometre past the lake, and on the Falkland BC.
