Downtown Vernon Murals project has been a great success. 27 murals depicting historic figures, local culture, scenery and lore are prominently displayed on downtown buildings including Vernon BC's multicultural mural on the Canada Post building. The Vernon Murals project has included all levels of government and provided employment for local youth. As part of Vernon BC's revitalization strategy, awareness and recognition of the artistic efforts of mural crews and heritage groups has resulted in great pride for Vernon BC's citizens and businesses.
